Walk the coastal path and find Porth Joke - known locally as Polly Joke. This is a small cove between Crantock and Holywell - beautiful and untouched by commercialism. The south west coastal path takes you all the way to Perranporth and further, perfect for walkers.

Crantock Village and beach

Crantock is a quintessential Cornish village with lovely pubs and a cafe serving great food. The village store has a Post Office, everything you need and most importantly takeaway hot pasties - it's the law in Cornwall to try a Cornish pasty!

Beautiful cottages lead down the lane to the spectacular Crantock beach. The car park is National Trust and has a back up car park behind. The River Gannel flows into the sea - perfect for paddle boarding, kayaking and great surfing in the sea. The Big Green Surf School in the car park offer fun, professional lessons. The beach has been voted the best in The UK for 2 years running, the white sand in your toes make you feel like you're in The Caribbean! The sand dunes are a lovely walk with views over the beach. Dog friendly all year round.

Crantock Market pops up once a week in high season where you can buy local seasonal produce, artworks and crafts.

Crantock is a perfect base for exploring Cornwall as you can be in Padstow in around 20 minutes, St Ives or The Eden Project in 30-40, and the world famous Fistral Beach is about 10 minutes away.
